ACTIVATION.pl is a unique educational and networking project spearheaded by HIA Poland that aims to promote human rights education and activism, particularly with regard to national and ethnic minority issues in Belarus, Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine.
It combines e-learning, hands-on experience, activism mentoring, and peer-to-peer education in order to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences that address the problem of how to guarantee human rights for ethnic and national minorities in the participants’ local communities.
Goals of ACTIVATION.pl
-Convey fundamental knowledge and skills in the field of human rights activism and project management
-Create a forum for exchange and networking between Poles in Poland and Polish minorities that live abroad.
-Inspire students to take action for the benefit of national and ethnic minorities in their local communities
Target group:
ACTIVATION.pl is targeted atactive, creative and open-minded students who are engaged and/or interested in human rights education and activism, particularly with regard to ethnic and national minorities.
Through their participation in the project, students will deepen their knowledge of human rights violations and acquire new skills concerning the best ways to remedy such violations. This preparation will, in turn, enable them to carry out an action project (public outreach initiative) in their home communities. The total number of participants is limited to 20.

Upon successful completion of the ACTIVATION.pl project, alumni will have the opportunity to join HIA's international network of Senior Fellows and sustain their engagement in the issues addressed during the project.
Program
The program is highly interdisciplinary and seeks to bridge the gap between theory and practice by examining different models of action to combat injustice. It aims to facilitate a collective exploration of the social and political roots of discrimination, as well as to provide a forum in which potential solutions can be considered and discussed.

The project is free of charge. In addition, Humanity in Action Poland covers the costs of participation in the Warsaw Study Trip (accommodation, transportation, meals).
